PRIVACY POLICY

GLYPP is an outdoor signal game: ASCII seals locked to real places. This policy covers the public web (this site) and what it does — and does not — collect. The app's own account data follows the same principles; export and deletion live in the app under Settings.

GPS AND LOCATION

• We never store a continuous GPS trail.
• The app records only the distance and accuracy at the moment you claim a seal (the 50 m lock check).
• This web site does not access your location at all.

WEB ANALYTICS (FIRST-PARTY ONLY)

• Off by default. An anonymous event counter activates only after you press ACCEPT on the consent banner.
• What is stored per event: timestamp, event name (e.g. page_view, cta_get_app), language, and a one-way hash of the referring page.
• What is never stored: IP address, user agent, device identifiers, cookies, or any cross-site identifier.
• DECLINE (or Do Not Track) means nothing is sent or stored. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.

WEB FORMS

• Market offers, partner applications, physical preorders, verification, and abuse reports store exactly the fields you submit (e.g. email) as append-only records.
• These records are used only to operate the service (review, escrow, support) and are never sold.
• NOTIFY ME and TestFlight waitlist fields store only your email address, used solely to send the one message you asked for (launch / store / TestFlight invite). One email, no newsletter, no sharing.

ACCOUNTS, EXPORT, DELETION

• In the app: Settings → export data · delete account.
• Web-submitted records (offers, applications, reports) are removed on request via the SUPPORT page email — quote the reference code you received when submitting.
• Retention: web market offers are purged after 90 days; resolved abuse reports 30 days after resolution; decided partner applications after 90 days. Waitlist emails (TestFlight, notify-me, verification interest) are kept until launch, then deleted. Anonymous analytics rotate monthly and are deleted after 12 months. Purge runs via web/scripts/purge_data.py.

PAYMENTS

• Credits and partner fees are processed by Stripe (when enabled); we never see full card numbers. Until keys are live, checkout runs in mock mode and no payment data exists.
